Market: Brusque draw no bet
Odds: 21/20 @
Looking to extend on their promotion charge this weekend, Brusque will travel to the Arena da Amazonia when they meet Manus on Sunday night.
Starting with the hosts, last seen having to settle for a 0-0 stalemate at home against Sao Bernardo, Manus are firmly looking over their shoulder at a looming relegation scrap. While the Eagles Hawks might have claimed a much-needed 2-1 win away at America RN earlier in the month, it appears that might have just been a minor boost for Higo Magalhaes inconsistent squad. Recording just a single win from any of their last seven straight Serie C appearances a run that stems back to June 3rd the Amezonas-based outfit should face a tricky challenge here. Likewise, with their extended wobble highlighted by a 4-1 drumming against Sao Jose last month, Manus have also shown some recent struggles on home soil. It should be highlighted, the former Vila Nova boss has seen his side fail to win any of their last three consecutive showdowns at the Arena da Amazonia.
As for the visitors, while Brusque might have lost their Serie B status last season, the Marreco have their sights firmly set on claiming an immediate second-tier return in 2023. Enjoying what has been a real romp over the past month, Luizinho Lopes’ side have now won each of their last four straight appearances and the mood their camp should be at a red-hot high. Laying down another marker last week as they breezed their way to a routine 4-0 romp at home against Confianca, the Santa Catarina-based outfit have continued to shine at both ends of the pitch. Including opening July with a 2-0 victory away at Paysanda, Sunday’s guests have won each of their last four appearances by an aggregate score of 10-1. Sat just two points adrift of climbing to the top of the Serie C standings, Brusque have also conceded just a single goal in over 400 minutes of action.
