Manchester United attacker Wayne Rooney has taken the time to praise Cristiano Ronaldo s achievements and believes the Real Madrid attacker still has plenty of goals left in him.
Ronaldo recently dethroned Raul as Real Madrid s all-time leading goalscorer after previously becoming Portugal s most prolific marksman.
Rooney played alongside Ronaldo at United between 2003 and 2009 and he is in awe of his former team-mate s impressive goalscoring record.
I think it s a great achievement. I put something on social media to congratulate him, Rooney told the official United website.

Diego Simeone is keeping his fingers crossed that Antoine Griezmann s injury is not too serious after the striker hobbled off in Thursday s 5-0 Copa del Rey win over Rayo Majadahonda.
The France international – who scored his side s fourth after being introduced as a substitute – sustained a thigh injury in last month s derby defeat to Real Madrid before testing positive for COVID-19 last week.
Simeone did not reveal the nature of Griezmann s injury but said he hopes the France international, who left the pitch visibly upset, is not sidelined for long.
The doctors will inform better than me, he told a media conference. He is a very important player for us and it is a shame that he was injured again.
We hope he does not have much time out.

Manchester City director of football Txiki Begiristain says his side will have to be almost perfect to progress through a Champions League quarter-final with Liverpool.
Friday s draw paired the Premier League rivals together, with Liverpool the only side to have beaten City in the league so far this season.
Liverpool won 4-3 at Anfield to gain revenge for a 5-0 thumping received at the Etihad Stadium, when Sadio Mane was shown an early red card for a high challenge on Ederson.
Begiristain suggested City would have preferred to have avoided Liverpool but expects an entertaining match, with Liverpool hosting the first leg on April 4.
It s a very difficult one, Begiristain said. We like to travel and to go to another country in the Champions League but it…
Newcastle Jets demolished Central Coast Mariners 8-2 in Saturday s F3 derby in the highest-scoring match in A-League history.
The second-placed visitors scored five goals in the last 37 minutes in a madcap encounter at Central Coast Stadium to conclude their regular season in style and send the Mariners to the bottom.
Ernie Merrick s side had lost their previous three games but they looked set to get back to winning ways after only 24 minutes, with Joseph Champness, Roy O Donovan and Riley McGree putting them 3-0 up.
Connor Pain, who had earlier hit the post, got a goal back before half-time but McGree struck his second 53 minutes in to set up an extraordinary remainder of the match.

Liverpool have completed the signing of Augsburg defender Ragnar Klavan on a long-term contract.
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp was keen to bolster his centre-back options having released Kolo Toure and sold Martin Skrtel to Fenerbahce, while Mamadou Sakho and Joe Gomez are both injured.
Klavan has now arrived on a reported £4.2million fee and provides competition for Joel Matip signed on a free transfer from Schalke and Dejan Lovren.
